Testing Your Shot Scope Golf Watch Tags: A Simple Guide
To ensure your Shot Scope golf watch is recognizing your tags properly, follow these simple steps. Before you begin, please check that your watch straps are correctly positioned. The strap with the buckle should be placed at the bottom of the watch head.
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Power On Your Watch
- Turn on your Shot Scope watch.
- Go to the Settings menu.
- Scroll down and select the ‘Tag Read’ section to enter the tag reading mode.
- Prepare the Testing Area
- Place your watch on the edge of a flat surface, such as a desk or table. Ensure the surface is free of any metal objects (which could interfere with the test).
- Position the Tag
- Hold one of your tags directly above the middle of the watch strap (ideally above the 4th or 5th hole on the strap, as shown in the image).
- Gently move the tag away from the strap to test the maximum recognition distance. The watch will display a message on screen when it recognizes the tag.
- Test Multiple Tags
- Repeat the previous step with different tags to ensure consistent results.
- Evaluate the Results
- If the maximum distance for tag recognition is 7 cm or more, your watch is correctly detecting the tags.
- If the distance is less than 7 cm, or if the tag isn’t recognized at all, there may be an issue with the tag or the watch’s sensor.
By following these steps, you can easily test whether your Shot Scope golf watch is functioning properly with the tags. If you experience any issues, make sure your tags are properly paired with the watch, or consult Shot Scope customer support for further assistance by emailing us at support@shotscope.com
